i love sunday mornings like this. i'm listening to this american life, drinking coffee in the sunshine, surrounded by two dogs napping on the couches. daniel is still asleep upstairs - we're dogsitting for the bells this morning, and it's been so lovely to have more than two rooms in which to play. last night phil, sarah and fez came over after we went to see sharon's latest gallery show piece. i've been trying to crochet a pair of legwarmers. the first one isn't really looking like the picture yet. and they're so pretty in the picture! maybe i should stick to hats and scarves...but i really love the idea of being able to whip up other things... sarah mentioned last week that marriage is like looking into a mirror all the time - seeing the very best and very worst of yourself. isn't that the truth! how is that we can be the most self-centered with those we love the most?? i'm going to get back to the legwarmers now...

I used to crochet when I was a young teen (I know, I know, EVERY 12 year old boy crochets...). I've forgotten how but have wanted to pick it back up. How about you guys come for a visit a Christmas and re-teach me? (-:
